Is the man! Just finished up Operation Shylock, had read The Plot Against America immediately previous. On to Zuckerman Bound! I had read Portnoy's Complaint, Sabbath's Theater and Goodbye, Columbus a few years ago and loved them.
I also went to the Ginger Man last night - 5.75 a pint is simply ridiculous. Cheers to the Draught House for having a much more knowledgeable staff, and better variety with less taps. I realize Ginger Man is in the warehouse district, but a $1 premium is a bit steep for my tastes - even with the downtown eye candy. One Stone Brew on tap just doesn't cut it! I even heard someone ask the bartender what he would recommend... and he replied "Light or Dark?" If you're gonna advertise the fact that you have to know who Michael Jackson is on your applications, you might wanna consider having a staff that can make detailed recommendations on varietals based on more than THE COLOR OF A BEER. Jesus.
