This past Saturday a good friend of mine and I went to go see Buckethead at La Zona Rosa here in Austin. He was great, as usual - played for over 2 hours yet again! But the show also freaked me out. There were a lot of kids there, which was surprising until i thought about it. Buckethead has had track on the first two Guitar Hero games. I'm all for him expanding his audience - he needs more fans (like me that buy every album!), but I was shocked to see kids ranging from age 8-18 there. I thought there was an age policy at La Zona Rosa, but I guess it wasn't in effect that night. But anyway, I was able to grab the three new albums he has put out on this tour - Frankenstein Brothers (with opener That1Guy), a new album with Travis Dickerson and Brain, and the solo album Albino Slug. All great!
In other news, my Imperial Winter Ale is now bottled. My IPA stock is running thin, but I have another Stone Clone in the primary right now.
